As the building blocks "N" and "P" is "K" for each crop is essential. Potassium ensures the robustness of the plant cells (the water), and initiates flowering. Potassium is also very important for the cell structure, the osmosis and the regulation of carbohydrate metabolism.

Further provides potassium for the opening and closing of stomata, so that excess heat can be dissipated.

A potassium deficiency manifests itself when the plant has to evaporate to cool in it is not enough to open the stomata (stomata) off. This causes chlorosis on the leaf margins which at a later stage into necrosis (death).

An excess of potassium inhibited the growth and creates a dark crop. The incorporation of other cations is also inhibited (Ca and Mg) by an antagonistic effect.

A dosage of 1: 1000 K increases by 5 mmol.
